A Mother, A Son, and an Incredible Podcast about Healing with Julie & Samuel Richards

Julie is a passionate learner and teacher, focusing on empowering clients with deeper understanding to live a vibrant and fulfilling life with meaningful interpersonal relationships.

As an adoptive parent who is familiar with adoption trauma, grief, and loss, Julie is able to empathically come alongside adoptive families and adoptees with steadfast support and compassionate care. Her heart was moved for adoption in 2004 and she has been leading mission teams to China to serve in orphan care ever since.

Her background in education and passion for life-long learning offers clients a relational approach to psychoeducation and neuroscience. As a pastor’s wife and mother of four children, from adolescents to young adults, and an adoptive mom, she is able to offer insight and help from both her life experience and professional training. For those who have been wounded by the church, Julie creates a safe space where they can explore religious and spiritual abuse and trauma without judgment.

Samuel is a local community member in Columbus, Ohio who is a lifelong advocate for activism and mental health. Samuel routinely works with a wide variety of diverse groups to help spread community support to people in the Columbus area and beyond.

Samuel is a co-host and the producer of Community Routes, which he considers an important step in an egalitarian future. Samuel does medical IT management for his career.
