What is Religious Trauma with Laura Anderson, PhD

Dr. Laura is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Tennessee, Professor of Psychology, and an Approved Supervisor through the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). 

 She has a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and recently completed her PhD in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University with her research focusing on the experience of living in a healing body after sexualized violence and trauma.

In 2019 while in the process of her own healing journey, Dr. Laura co-founded the Religious Trauma Institute with the hope of educating clinicians, coaches, and other healers as well as advocating for victims of religious trauma. In 2021 Dr. Laura founded the Center for Trauma Resolution and Recovery in 2021.
